Enter a town or postal code anywhere in Canada or the United States and you get a seasonal briefing built from real local data — ten years of climate reanalysis for your hardiness zone and frost dates, this week's forecast and soil temperature, the moon, the named lakes and rivers around you, and a link to your official fishing regulator — written into a practical plan for gardening, fishing and foraging this week.
Where the data comes from
Weather, soil and climate history come from Open-Meteo. Places and water bodies come from OpenStreetMap contributors. Hardiness zones are estimated from the mean annual extreme minimum temperature using the USDA scale and may differ from official maps by half a zone or so. The written guide is generated by an AI model from that data plus general regional knowledge and is refreshed weekly.
What it is not
It is not a rulebook and not an identification authority. Fishing seasons, limits and licence requirements change every year — always confirm them with your province or state. Never eat a wild plant or mushroom you cannot identify with total certainty; use at least two reliable field guides or a local expert.
