Apr–Oct — April, May, June, July, August, September, October. Earlier in the south, later in the north.
Where to look
Any brassica: kale, cabbage, broccoli, mustards.
How to know it
A plain white butterfly with one or two black wing spots. The caterpillar is velvety green and lies along a leaf vein.
