- Wherever aphids are — on rose tips, bean tops and the underside of leaves.
- How to know it
- The adult everyone knows; the larva is the useful one — a spiky, alligator-shaped grey-and-orange creature that looks like a pest.
- What it does for you
- A single larva eats several hundred aphids before pupating. Learn the larva so you never squash one by mistake.
